DON’T MAKE THIS MISTAKE – TAKE THE ACTION REQUIRED TO UPDATE YOUR AMAZON SOFTWARE INTEGRATIONS

As a seller on Amazon, you may use several third-party applications to boost your sales. These applications may require access to your account and Amazon will periodically ask you to renew their authorization. You may have received an email from Amazon asking you to reauthorize these software applications because their authorization is expiring soon. It’s important to reauthorize those you are currently using with your account to prevent them from being disabled by Amazon. Having them disabled can delay your shipments, negatively affect the ranking of your listings and Amazon may even shut down your account.

WHAT IS AMAZON SOFTWARE INTEGRATION?

Amazon software integration is an Amazon marketplace web service that contains all the third-party applications you have attached to your seller account. This integration may include your advertising software, fulfillment center connection, or Shopify integrations. Amazon requires you to renew the authorization to ensure only those software application providers with whom you are actively working can access your data. Therefore, Amazon periodically sends you an email asking you to renew or update all the third-party authorizations.

WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO REAUTHORIZE THE THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS?

Reauthorizing your software applications will allow you to keep working with them without any interruptions. Allowing them to expire may cost you your time, effort, and money by delaying your sales and can lead to Amazon shutting down your account.
If you want to keep selling on Amazon with the help of these third-party software applications without any hindrance, then proactively check and renew if authorization of any application is about to expire.

HOW TO RENEW THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS

Follow these simple steps to renew the authorization of third-party applications:

  • Go to your Seller Central dashboard.
  • Hover over your settings.
  • Go to your user permissions.
  • Scroll down to find the “Third-party developer and apps.

Click the “visit manage your apps” button, and it will take you to a page that says “manage your apps.”
This page lists all the applications connected to your account. Go through all the applications and check the authorization and expiration date. Ensure that all the software applications you are currently using are enabled, and those you no longer use are disabled.
Renew the authorization if the expiration date is approaching. This will save you the headache of delayed shipments, a drop in your sales, and negotiating with Amazon regarding the late shipments.
You can renew the authorization only if you are the primary account holder. If you are managing a client’s seller account, you will either need to obtain their access or walk them through these steps.

TAKE ACTION

Be proactive and head over to your Seller Central account, check on your software integrations and update any that are about to expire. Renew or enable those you are actively using and disable any you are no longer using. This will save you a whole lot of trouble and prevent the possibility of Amazon shutting down your account.
